WWE is days away from WrestleMania 42, and Tiffany Stratton might not appear at the event or compete for the first time in two years. Meanwhile, there’s positive news for The Buff Barbie, as her real-life boyfriend reportedly got a new name in the Stamford-based promotion.
Earlier this year, Tiffany Stratton went public and revealed her new boyfriend to the world. The former WWE Women’s Champion had begun dating NXT’s Shady Elnahas, and the two went public on their social media accounts. The news came months after she broke up with Ludwig Kaiser and went on a hiatus from the weekly product in November 2025.
Thanks for the submission!
The real-life couple has openly acknowledged their relationship, and other superstars have reacted to it. Elnahas previously made headlines when he got a tattoo based on Statton’s eye on his arm. Moreover, he’s signed with the Stamford-based promotion and assigned to the developmental brand. However, a new change was made to the 28-year-old star’s name.
According to Bodyslam, Shady Elnahas will go by ‘Shido Ash’ in the Stamford-based promotion. The company had recently filed a trademark for the name, and the report stated that this would be Elnahas’ new name as a performer in the company. The 28-year-old WWE star hasn’t appeared on television and can be seen working live events on the developmental brand.
It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Shido Ash in the coming months.
Bad news for Tiffany Stratton ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42
Earlier this year, Tiffany Stratton returned to the Stamford-based promotion for the first time in months. The Buff Barbie competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match following her title loss to Jade Cargill at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City. While she tried her best, Stratton lost the match in Saudi Arabia to Liv Morgan.
Later, she competed in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and lost the gimmick match to Rhea Ripley. With all doors closing, the 26-year-old WWE star went after the Women’s United States Champion, Giulia. Last month, Tiffany Stratton lost to the champion in a one-on-one match on Friday Night SmackDown, and there might be more bad news to follow.
A previous report suggested a one-on-one match between Stratton and Giulia for WrestleMania 42. Unfortunately, The Buff Barbie’s loss might have affected the potential match, and the management might not book it for the event. With less than five days left for the event, it’s unlikely that the company would book a last-minute title match for the Showcase of the Immortals in Nevada.
