WWE veteran extends support amid Rebel’s ongoing battle with ALS

by Ohio Digital News

Amid her battle with ALS, Rebel has received some love and support from a veteran WWE star.

AEW star Rebel (real name Tanea Brooks) has been dealing with severe medical issues over the past months, initially with no known cause. After some breakthroughs, medical professionals diagnosed the 47-year-old with terminal ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

Since then, Rebel has been focused on doing her part in her fight against the disease by raising awareness. Amid her battle, many wrestling celebrities have extended their support to Rebel, with WWE veteran Torrie Wilson being one of the latest.

Wilson, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: Class of 2019, showed her support through an extensive Instagram post featuring her wearing Rebel’s merch, a heartwarming message for Rebel, and a call to action for fans, urging them to support the star.

“Got my #rebelheart swag today. 🩷. For those of you who may not know her, one of the sweetest gals I know has in recent months been diagnosed with ALS. She is young & vibrant and it’s not fair. She is also using her platform to help raise awareness for ALS and find a cure. This swag is a simple way that ppl can help spread awareness – as all proceeds from sales are being donated to help find a cure,” wrote Wilson.

She continued:

“Life can change in an instant. I think about Tanea everyday and how difficult this diagnosis is for her and all the people who receive it. Join me in sending her prayers of love and good energy everyday from wherever you are in this world. And go buy her shirt or bracelet please.”
