Here’s a brief overview of the roadmap for this year:

  • July: Willow Rework and Quality of Life Update Part 1
  • August: Quality of Life Update Part 2
  • October: Crimson Eye and Unity 6 update
  • November: Player Character Visual Update
  • December: Edgefield Rework and Winter’s Jest update
  • TBC: Content Updates

The chief among these is the rework coming to 13 Willow Street, the most iconic map of the game, set in a haunted row house. This will be followed by two Quality of Life updates focused on gameplay enhancements, game stability, and bug fixes, as well as additional features that fans have clamored for a while now.

Phasmophobia will also switch to Unity 6 to facilitate all of these updates and more, including graphical improvements, new accessibility modes, etc.

What’s in 2027 for Phasmophobia?

While the game was initially planned to step out of Early Access in 2026, the breadth and scope of the upcoming updates mean the team is delaying 1.0 to 2027. This is to ensure the final product will be up to their standards and as polished as possible.

In addition, Phasmophobia will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 next year, allowing Nintendo fans to experience the supernatural horrors with their friends for themselves. This is on top of additional content updates, like enhanced character models, as well as the addition of Conduits, haunted items relevant to a ghost.
