Compassionate Leadership: Executive Jim McCafferty Joins Charity as COO, Foregoing Salary to Drive Impact

by Ohio Digital News

Samaritan’s Feet International is pleased to announce Jim McCafferty as its new Chief Operating Officer. In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to the cause, McCafferty has chosen to forgo a salary, exemplifying a dedication to advancing the mission of Samaritan’s Feet and making a positive impact throughout the United States and around the world.

McCafferty brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, organization effectiveness, finance, and leadership development and is poised to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth for the organization. He joins Samaritan’s Feet from AAA (Auto Club Group and Carolinas) where he served as the Chief Operating Officer, and prior to that, served as the Executive Vice President at GuideOne Insurance Company.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to join Samaritan’s Feet and be a part of the talented team here engaged in Kingdom work and passionate about serving others. Working with Samaritan’s Feet helps one to bridge from a life built on the world’s definition of success to one of significance,” said McCafferty. “Thank you to each person and company who has supported Samaritan’s Feet. Fulfilling the calling of the organization is impossible without their engagement and partnership.”

McCafferty will primarily work with Samaritan’s Feet Founder and CEO, Manny Ohonme, to fulfill the strategic mandate of the organization’s 2.0 vision of a world with zero shoeless people in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. He will use his background and experience to develop an organizational structure to help Samaritan’s serve more people both domestically and internationally.

“We are thrilled to welcome McCafferty as Chief Operating Officer to Samaritan’s Feet. Samaritan’s Feet remains steadfast in its commitment to providing shoes and inspiring HOPE (health, opportunity, peace, education) with individuals in need. McCafferty embodies the values and dedication required to lead the organization to new heights. His decision to not walk past our strategic need for a seasoned leader to help take our organization to the next level as a ‘Samaritan Leader’ and forego his salary speaks volumes about his selflessness and commitment to creating positive change in our world,” said Manny Ohonme, Founder, President and CEO of Samaritan’s Feet. “His exceptional background in strategic leadership and operational excellence will help Samaritan’s Feet reach its goal of serving 1.1 million people around the world in 2024.”
