3News Senior Meteorologist Matt Wintz has the latest on the approach of a weather system that will bring snow to most of Northeast Ohio
We are on the lookout for an incoming storm system that will bring accumulating snow to most of Northeast Ohio on Friday and Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the following counties that will start on 4 a.m. Friday and last until 7 a.m. on Saturday:
Cuyahoga
Lake
Ashtabula
Geauga
Medina
Summit
Portage
Trumbull
A Winter Weather Advisory for Erie, Lorain, and Huron counties will start at 3 a.m. on Friday and last until 7 a.m. on Saturday. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches can be expected in these counties.
The NWS says for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties, snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches is expected with locally higher amounts possible in the higher terrain.
For Medina, Summit, Portage, and Trumbull counties, look for total snow accumulations of up to 4 inches in the northern half of the counties, with 1 to 3 inches elsewhere.
