This year’s Soin Award for Innovation recipient is Arcani Coil Care.
Arcani Coil Care was started by Jerricha Hoskins, a licensed cosmetologist, who noticed a need for higher quality hair products made with natural ingredients, specially formulated for the Black community. Jerricha started making products in her home kitchen, and has grown Arcani Coil Care into a multi-million dollar business. She’s expanded her warehouse in Trotwood, and continued to add to her staff.
Part of Arcani Coil Care’s success can be traced to the innovative #RUBCHALLENGE social media campaign. The campaign was designed to show how well the edge control product keeps hair in place.
Jerricha Hoskins’s story is inspiring. She came from foster care and homelessness, and used her entrepreneurial spirit to grow Arcani Coil Care into her dream come true.
