A new entertainment and music venue is coming to a familiar site along the Ohio River, Louisville Business First reports.The Jefferson, a new music and event venue, is slated to open in the former Rocky’s Sub Pub at 715 W. Riverside Drive in Jeffersonville, Indiana, which closed in April 2018.Renovations on the property began in 2021 and are expected to be complete within the coming weeks. The 9,000-square-foot venue includes an event space and an artist’s greenroom. The existing deck was demolished, and a new deck was built from the ground up, creating 4,000 square feet of exterior deck and patio space, according to a news release on the venue.The Jefferson will host weddings as well as corporate and special events. Its first headlining concerts will be Saving Abel on Aug. 27 and Puddle of Mudd on Nov. 11, according to the release.
