They just can’t get enough Marilyn moments.
Kendall Jenner followed in her sister Kim Kardashian’s footsteps by dressing up as Marilyn Monroe in some new Instagram photos Sunday, sporting a curly blond wig and a black turtleneck for Halloween 2023.
“happy birthday mister president” the 27-year-old model captioned her carousel of photos, referencing the Hollywood legend’s iconic song for President John F. Kennedy.
In the pics, she recreated a 1953 photo of Monroe in a black modal cashmere turtleneck from Intimissimi ($59) and white bloomers along with a voluminous, Marilyn-like wig.
Jenner accessorized with diamond drop earrings and perhaps wearing one of Kim’s soon-to-be-released Skims Nipple bras ($62) under the semi-sheer shirt, with the “Kardashians” star sporting a very perky look.
Kendall’s Marilyn costume follows her older sister’s famous 2022 Met Gala moment when the Skims founder, 43, borrowed the actual dress Monroe wore to sing to Kennedy in 1962.
Kardashian also channeled the late actress in a series of Dolce & Gabbana ads just a few months later, with her 10-year-old daughter, North West, even sporting a T-shirt with one of the images earlier this year.

Many of Jenner’s Instagram followers didn’t understand the “obsession” surrounding her family and Monroe, like one who wrote, “this family won’t leave marilyn alone will they.”
“What’s the Kardashian’s weird obsession with Marilyn Monroe because they never do her any justice and they will never be like her 😂” another fan added.
Others were into the tribute, like celeb makeup artist Mary Phillips, who wrote, “Obsessed with you,” and “13 Reasons Why” actress Katherine Langford, who commented, “such a serve.”
While her Instagram followers seemed to have a mixed reaction to the look, it seemed like there was one thing everyone agreed on, with multiple fans sharing their relief that Jenner didn’t don one of Monroe’s actual looks.
“At least you’re not wearing the dress,” one fan commented, with another writing, “This is the PROPER way to honor Marilyn.”
“Thank you for NOT wearing Marilyn’s dress and tearing it” a third Instagram user wrote, referencing allegations that Kim had damaged her Met Gala dress.
However, with two more nights to dress up, there’s no telling whether Kendall will pull something out of the Hollywood vaults.
