Co-chairwoman Diane Brown addressed a packed house at a FAKS (Franklin Against Kensington Solar) meeting Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Church in Franklin Township. A proposed utility-scale solar plant is slated for construction in the predominantly agricultural region and the main staging area that will be used to truck in and assemble panels and materials used to install the panels would be located 50 feet from the front door of the church. Brown urges concerned citizens to file a public comment with the Ohio Power Sitting Board at contactOPSB@puc.state.oh.us. So far, a petition circulated by FAKS has gotten over 200 signatures, Brown said. Morning Journal/Liz Lehman
