It appears that more Android smartphone makers are preparing to enter the wide-screen foldable segment. Samsung is rumoured to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide later this year, with new leaks suggesting that vivo, Oppo, and Honor are also developing their own wide foldables.
Tipster Smart Pikachu shared fresh details about the upcoming vivo X Fold6, while also offering insights into vivo’s future foldable plans.
According to the tipster, the X Fold6 is expected to feature a less noticeable display crease. The tipster further claims that upcoming foldable devices from vivo will adopt a wider display design.
In a separate post, the same source revealed that Oppo is also testing a wide foldable smartphone, which is currently undergoing evaluation.
Meanwhile, another tipster claims that Honor has been working on a wide foldable for quite some time and is expected to unveil it in the near future.
Huawei Pura X Max compared to the rumored iPhone Ultra
Huawei recently introduced the Pura X Max, which offers one of the widest displays seen on a foldable device to date, although it features an unconventional design.
Apple is also rumoured to be developing a wide-screen foldable iPhone, which could debut later this year as the iPhone Ultra.
