Belinda and BINI Bring Cross-Cultural ‘Girl Power’ to ‘Blink Twice’

by Ohio Digital News

The girls of BINI always wanted to work with a Latin artist — and in Belinda, they found a perfect collaborator. On Thursday, the Mexican pop star and Filipina group released the “Dos Veces remix” of BINI’s song “Blink Twice,” which premieres with Rolling Stone.

“We love Belinda and her music! We’ve been wanting to work with a Latin artist, and we thought she would be amazing because of how our voices, and energies blend so well on this track,” Bini tells Rolling Stone in an email. “This new version is a fun anthem for girl power that we feel our fans, the Blooms, will vibe with.”

The girl group — made up of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — also shared their excitement to work with Belinda, who they described as a “smart and independent woman who is working hard to make a difference with their music.”

The pastel-colored video follows Bini’s eight members in a futuristic clinic that does tests on their hearts and brains. “If you like me, blink twice/Are you naughty or nice?” sings Jhoanna before Belinda joins from a virtual setting for a Spanish-language verse that includes a Spice Girls shoutout.

The foray is a step out of Belinda’s comfort zone, as she’s dedicated her latest singles to the musica mexicana genre. However, she tells Rolling Stone she was “really excited” about the opportunity to work with “eight talented, amazing and beautiful” women. “‘Blink Twice’ is such a fun song to enjoy and dance to, and it’s become one of my favorite songs that I’ve recorded this past year,” Belinda says.

The Bini track comes after Belinda tapped Tito Double P for the corrido “La Cuadrada.” She also joined Kenia OS on “Jackpot” in October. Meanwhile, BINI released their EP BINIVerse earlier this year, featuring Agnez Mo on a remix to their hit, “Cherry on Top.” Their last project came in 2024 with Tagalog album, Talaarawan.
