Don’t count out Lindsey Vonn.
Despite completely rupturing her left ACL during a World Cup race last week in Switzerland, Vonn is still being given an outside shot by oddsmakers at winning both the women’s downhill and the Super-G gold medal.
Vonn has the second-best odds to win both events, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, with her chances sitting at +375 odds to win the downhill and +400 to win the Super-G, as of Friday night, during the Winter Olympics, which kicked off Friday.
Italy’s Sofia Goggia, who won gold in the downhill during the 2018 Winter Games, was a +175 favorite in both events.
If Vonn can pull off the upset, it would be one of the most unbelievable comebacks in recent sports history.
Vonn, 41, retired in 2019 due to various injuries before shockingly returning to skiing in December 2024 with her eyes on the 2026 Olympics.
In December, Vonn proved she could still compete with the best, taking first in the downhill at the World Cup in St. Moritz.
Then, disaster hit a week ago with the ACL tear.
On Tuesday, Vonn vowed to not give up, telling reporters she would still be on the slopes during the Games.

“I’m leaning on everyone on my team, my physical therapist, my doctors, my coaches, my trainer, everyone is working as hard as they can to get me to a place where I feel confident, and I’m prepared to just give my best,” Vonn said.
During a training run Friday, it appeared Vonn didn’t miss a step, going down the hill without incident
She did the run in 1:40:33, which finished 11th out of 45 competitors.
She competed in another trial run Saturday and told the Associated Press “all good” after the event.
