The Sonivore is one of three new Deviants in Once Human. It looks like a blob of water or jelly that will constantly follow you around. They often spawn near high-value loot and remain dormant until approached by a player. Getting caught will most likely result in death as the enemy slowly suffocates you inside its body.
Speaking of sound, the Sonivore cannot see, so it follows noise, which you can use to your advantage. As for how to defeat the Deviant, currently, there is no way. All you can do is run, as it is immune to all forms of damage.
What is the Sonivore in Once Human

The Sonivore is just a blob of magnetic particle anomaly. It reacts to sound, specifically to the amount of noise something makes. For example, the sound of footsteps will make it move and follow around, while gunfire will have it sprinting towards the source. However, hearing an explosion sends them into a frenzy.
There are times when you may encounter a Sonivore while looking for loot crates or passing through a narrow way. In such cases, a confrontation is necessary. Luckily, you can use its weakness to trick the Deviant into moving somewhere else.
How to walk past the Sonivore in Once Human

The easiest way to walk past the Sonivore is to crouch walk. It makes you completely silent, and while you can hear your footsteps, the Deviant won’t react. However, this method will not work if there is enough space to walk past. Touching the jelly monster will send you into its belly, where it will deal continuous damage until you get out.
In situations like this, you’ll need an external sound source. Walking or sprinting around it will make it active and follow you slowly, and when you’re far enough, ground and go past it. A grenade or any other form of explosion will send the Sonivore running towards the noise if you’re in a hurry.

However, in any case, do not deal damage to the Deviant directly, as it will follow the source of damage, no matter how silent you remain afterwards. If there are enemies nearby, use the Mayhem Deviant Sprout. It makes you undetectable to all enemies.
The Sonivore will still hear your footsteps and try to follow around, but enemies nearby will not be alert of your presence. Needless to say, dealing damage will take you out of stealth for a short duration, so have some trigger discipline.
