Tyrese Haliburton is NBA’s Mr. Clutch

by Ohio Digital News

The Knicks could’ve warned Oklahoma City that was coming. It wouldn’t have helped. That’s how clutch Tyrese Haliburton has been.

Maybe Haliburton wasn’t great, but he was clutch — like he’s been these entire playoffs. He hit a dagger with 0.3 seconds left to give the Pacers their first lead of the night at the only point of the night that ultimately mattered.

The Pacers stormed back for a 111-110 upset in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, a tilt everybody expected them to lose. But they’ve built this playoff run on exceeding expectations. And Haliburton is building a legacy as a clutch winner.

“I’m obviously confident in my ability and feel like if I can get to that spot, I feel very comfortable in there,” said Haliburton, who had 14 points, 10 boards, six assists and another iconic moment. “So yeah, it’s a shot I’ve worked on a million times, and I’ll work on it a million times more. Just have confidence in that shot.”
