Back in 2023, Oppo borrowed the Alert Slider from OnePlus and debuted it on the Find N3 Flip and then the Find N3. Since then, the slider has been a mainstay. You can even find it on the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. However, according to reputable leakster Digital Chat Station, the Find X8 Ultra won’t feature the control. Apparently, Oppo will be swapping the slider for an Apple-style Action Button that will probably allow for more action customization.
The Find X8 Ultra was expected in February, but according to Digital Chat Station, the launch has been moved forward to March. As for other details we know about the device, apparently, it will come with a flat display. We also expect Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 6,000 mAh battery, and 100W wired charging, all wrapped inside an IP68/69 certified body.
We also have plenty of supposed information on the upcoming Find X8 Ultra camera setup. Reportedly, it will continue using the 1-inch LYT-900 main sensor found in the Find X7 Ultra for its main camera and a 50MP IMX882 for the ultrawide camera. The two telephoto cameras will apparently be getting an upgrade. The 3x periscope is said to use a better 50MP IMX906 (Lytia LYT-701) sensor with a large 1/1.56-inch size than last year’s model and it will likely be a telephoto macro cam as well. The 6x periscope will probably be based on a 50MP IMX882 sensor, an upgrade from the Find X7 Ultra’s 5x IMX858 periscope lens.
