The Chiefs begin their hunt for a Super Bowl three-peat on Thursday against the Ravens, and star tight end Travis Kelce arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in style.
Kelce was captured entering the stadium to cheers from fans off-camera as he fist-bumped a security guard.
The video, posted by the NFL on social media, showed Kelce wearing a red and white trucker hat along with a white and brown button-down shirt and pants with Nikes.
“Yes, sir,” Kelce said to the camera as he walked into the stadium for Week 1.
Oddly, Kelce could also be heard in the clip shouting, “Go Rangers, baby” to someone off-screen.
“I said Rangers,” he repeated, though it wasn’t clear if he was talking about the baseball or hockey team — or something else.
He notably appeared in Texas for the 2023 World Series between the Rangers and Diamondbacks.
The arrival came a few hours ahead of the scheduled 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff of Thursday’s season opener between the defending Super Bowl champs and Baltimore.
The arrival came an hour before the frenzied arrival of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who has been dating Kelce for roughly a year and was expected to be in Kansas City for the opener to support her beau.
Swift walked into the building wearing a denim top and shorts and dark red boots.
Video showed her arriving a the building and hopping onto a golf cart to be whisked away to another part of the building.
The football superstar and pop icon have been at the center of a media frenzy since the two revealed that they were dating last September when Swift came to a game against the Bears to cheer on Kelce.
Kelce addressed the relationship during an interview with “CBS Mornings,” saying that he’s embraced being Swift’s arm candy.
“It’s the life I chose, I guess. I have fun with it,” he said.
Kelce also said that his family has also embraced being in the spotlight.
