The Northern Forest Center has purchased a portion of the historic Hale House property in Elizabethtown, Essex County, NY, including the Hale House and the nearby Law Library, and will redevelop the buildings into five rental units to help meet the community’s need for rental housing.
The Center has worked with the Elizabethtown Social Center in an effort to to reach an arrangement that will help meet the town’s housing needs. The Social Center will retain ownership of the recreation fields when the property is subdivided.
